Description

This classic Strawberry Daiquiri recipe combines fresh and frozen strawberries with rum, simple syrup, and lime juice for a refreshing, flavorful summer cocktail. Easily made nonalcoholic by substituting rum with water, it's perfect to enjoy chilled on a warm day.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit

  • 1 pound strawberries

Liquids

  • 4 ounces rum
  • 3 ounces simple syrup
  • 1 ounce lime juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberries: Remove stems from strawberries and slice them in half. Set aside half (8 ounces) of the strawberries to freeze.
  2. Freeze Strawberries: Place the halved 8 ounces of strawberries in the freezer and allow them to freeze completely, approximately 2 hours.
  3. Blend Ingredients: Add both fresh and frozen strawberries to the jar of a high-speed blender. Pour in the rum, simple syrup, and lime juice. Blend the mixture until smooth and well combined.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Pour the blended daiquiri into glasses and garnish with an extra strawberry and/or a lime wedge for presentation.
  5. Optional Non-Alcoholic Version: To make a virgin daiquiri, omit the rum and replace it with 4 ounces of water, then blend as directed.

Notes

  • A classic Strawberry Daiquiri highlights strong strawberry flavor and a good amount of rum, making it an ideal summer cocktail.
  • For a nonalcoholic version, simply omit the rum and substitute with water to maintain volume and texture.
  • Use a high-speed blender for best texture and smooth consistency.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of simple syrup according to taste.
